What makes a person a good citizen

What makes a person a good citizen? It is difficult to answer that question as each one of us has our own perceptions and notions on the definition of a good citizen. If you consider yourself a good citizen just because you work, obey the law and pay your taxes, then you are mistaken. Good citizens are not those who serve their own interest but rather are those who understand that their deeds affect the world around them. They serve their families, friends and others in need without prejudice and selfishness. They care about the conditions of their community, country and the world. The actions of a good citizen always include the protection of the nation, education and social service.

All citizens must live in unity and help to protect the motherland. People should be ready to give up their very lives for the country where their ancestors lived and where the future generation will come into being
