If the counselling session is effective it will assist the client to shift from a problematic phase to explore new choices. The client should be able to conceive possibilities and strategies in the further future to deliver these possibilities into achievements. The client should start to see and make choices. The client has to overcome fear, behaviour style, relying on others for resolutions, perfection and the fear of being left out in a group of people and wishing to be like them. To make clients to think differently and be more creative, they have to shift towards making better choices to have a bright future and make ways to accomplish set goals. The method is effective if the counsellor and client both withhold criticism to prevent from having problems. That occurs when opinions develop that are not appraised by both sides but should be dealt with later on. The counsellor has to encourage the client to think of ideas as much as they can so it enables them to develop but without shortening them.
